Pond Memories
This painting is an homage to Monet, but most importantly my treasured childhood memories. All throughout my upbringing, my family escaped the city troubles to our cabin in the mountains. The cabin had a pond with waterlilies, which brought me endless peace in the years I spent gazing at them.
This large painting is ripe with thick impasto texture and bright colors ranging from deep turquoise, periwinkle, pink, bright orange, and a rich variety of greens. Dimensions are 36x48 inches (3’x4’) with stretcher bars 2 inches thick. Oil on stretched canvas. This piece is unframed, but all four sides are painted with a coordinating turquoise color.
